Notes:
  • Built in May 1945 as a TC-47B-35-DK Skytrain with the US military serial 44-76874. Immediately transferred to the US Navy as an R4D-7 navigational trainer with the Bureau No.99836.

  • Initially operated with VR-1 at Patuxent River, Maryland, moving to VR-24 at Naples, Italy, in November 1951 and then VR-25 at Hendon, UK, in June 1952.

  • Whilst at Hendon, in February 1953, it was transferred to Fleet Air Services Squadron FASRON-76, before finally returning to the USA in August 1953. It then became N7071C with the US Navy Department before transferring to the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) with the registration N29. The CAA became the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) in August 1958, whilst N29 became N17, then N29 again before finally settling on N73 in November 1963.

  • In March 1965 it joined the Hellenic CAA and was Greek civil registered as SX-ECF. Retired in 1978, it was initially preserved at Ellinikon Airport before moving here to Tatoi.
